Mike Garrett
This one is just about complete. Just a few final touches after I sit with it for a bit then this will be part of my Chiefs Legends series.
Michael Lockett Garrett (born April 12, 1944) won the Heisman Trophy in 1965 as a halfback for the USC Trojans. Garrett played 4 seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs from 1966-1970.

Legends of the game
Getting a few more going this weekend. I finished Curly Culp then got a good start on Mike Garrett and Otis Taylor. I’ve a few on deck but who are some other legends you’d like to see?

WIP Black Baseball
These are a couple of mixed media pieces I’ve been working on in between a commission and general oil painting. I’m really digging how these are turning out. I like to go from drawing to painting and mixed media to keep it fresh for myself. Once I’m done with these I’ve a few “Chiefs Legends” I’m working on. These 2 will be a part of the series I have on Black Baseball. Working on these and I’ve got the Tribes lyric “Got the scrawny legs but I move just like Lou Brock,” on repeat in my brain. Hope you enjoy these as much as I do.
